Home Movie at 16 Months

For those of you not keeping track, it has been nearly six months since we’ve posted a video clip of Eva. Here’s another one!

Eva has developed an imagination, which means she likes to pretend. One of the things she likes to pretend is that she’s using Momma’s sewing machine. Just. Like. Momma! About a week ago, we had the presence of mind to grab the camcorder for a few minutes of her having fun. Geoff reminded us that, if you don’t post this kind of stuff right away, you end up never posting it, so, heeding his wisdom, (and since a good part of the intended audience is likely snow-bound on the East coast right now,) we cut a quick edit and posted a movie for your enjoyment.

Its about 3 and a half minutes long. We should warn you, though, nothing really “exciting” happens. Just a cute toddler having some playtime. That part in the middle where she gets all giggly and starts waving and making faces? That’s because I’ve rotated the camera’s view screen so that she sees herself in the picture, and herself is her favorite thing to see.

This was shot indoors after dark, so the colors and sharpness aren’t ideal. Oh, and the compression for the Web is pretty bad, so if you want a better-quality clip let us know and we’ll get you one.

Keeping Up With The Cute Kids

After looking at the latest pictures of Eva’s cousins, which couldn’t be cuter, we felt compelled to share some of the pictures we’ve accumulated in the first days of 2006. Hence this post!

Eva is 16 months old now, walking and talking and generally making sure her preferences are widely known. In our latest photo album you’ll see how big she’s getting, and we threw in a few cycling photos of her dad, just to mix it up a little.
